May 2008 saw a 8.0 (Ritcher scale) earthquake devaste Sichuan Province in Western China. Over 80,000 lost their lives, many unaccounted for. 4 million people were displaced from their homes. OM China was part of a group which responded immediately. Believers from all over China helped us distribute relief supplies. Cooperating with Government officers, we provided water filtration systems to thousands of families, built schools and temporary housing. This resulted in some government officials giving their lives to the Lord. Today, our ministry partners with local churches to operate retirement homes, community and amputee centers.
In China we are uniquely placed to ship low-cost, ready-made structures to any part of the world. Our vision is to set up a disaster response team of trained people, ready to respond instantly to crises in any part of the world, providing nations with short and mid-term housing.
